(all times PDT)
13:00—13:55

We will demonstrate Globus capabilities from the perspectives of an end-user researcher. You will learn how to move data between your laptop, research computing center and the cloud. You will learn how to use Globus to share data with your research team and your external collaborators.

For system administrators, we will review the Globus security model and walk through the installation and configuration of a Globus endpoint. We will also demonstrate how to manage your Globus deployment by delegating access and using the management console.

13:55—14:05 break
14:05—15:00

We will demonstrate how the Globus command line interface (CLI), the Globus Timer service and the Globus Flows service may be used to automate repetitive data management tasks.

We will also introduce Globus platform services such as Globus Auth and Globus Search, and describe how you can incorporate these capabilities into your own data portals, science gateways, Jupyter notebooks and other web applications that support data-intensive research.
