About
The GlobusWORLD conference series is the leading annual event for Globus users, developers and resource providers. The events focus on Globus Online and the Globus Toolkit, including talks and tutorials on using and managing the software, and presentations and discussions by users on their experiences.
GlobusWORLD began in 2002, expanding significantly on the Globus Alliance’s annual retreats that began as academic research gatherings and grew to include corporate IT vendors interested in Grid technologies. Participation in the annual events broadened, with a growing program catering to participation from commercial attendees while still serving the academic nature of its origin.
This latest GlobusWORLD installment will feature new user success stories focused on our most recent offering, Globus Online (launched at SC2010), as well as updates on Globus Toolkit development. Visit the GlobusWORLD 2012 page for more information about this year’s event.
The Globus community is comprised of individuals representing many organizations and projects. We remain committed to this community and to developing the software and service you need. We are enthusiastic about increasing the value the Globus community can bring to the many multi-institutional scientific and biomedical communities whose need for robust computing middleware continues to grow unabated.
